I’m soooo hungry…

Feeling hungry? Well why not get some great eats at some small local business (rather than the big corporate crapholes that only harden your arteries and give you strokes and heart attacks!)

Here is a small few of our recommended choices in Dublin city centre:

Simon’s café:  Relaxed pleasant atmosphere. Non formal and basic tables and chairs. A great place for a tea, coffee, soup, cake or a filling sandwich. Also, hats off to Simon, being one of the few people left that allows up and coming bands to poster the café walls for free. Top man! At Georges Street Arcade.

Govendas:  Hari Krishna restaurant. Don’t worry! There’s nobody going to try to convert your religion here. Just great vegetarian food if you fancy something a bit different. Aungier Street and Abbey Street.

Difontanes:  Great big slices of pizza at great value. E3 for a cheese, E4 for every other. Set slices, but you can have your own choice of toppings if you get a whole pizza.  Crown Alley (Temple Bar).

Cornucopia:  Vegetarian food of different sorts. Wicklow Street.

Boyers:  A big multi purpose store that has been around for as long as dubliners can remember, mentioned here because of the great value Irish breakfast that will probably fill you up for the best part of the day. Good value. North Earl Street.

There are also a large number of Middle Eastern and Asian restaurants all around Dublin of a very high quality to suit your personal taste whatever the requirements of your appetite and palate.  Much healthier than Irish cuisine
